Survival of the Fittest

So you don't always land every audition and it may be a while till you see your check from the last project you did. Sometimes even up to 90 days which can be scary when you don't know when you next job may be. That's why all performers have survival jobs. I for one was never big on office or retail work that can book up your hours real quick. I always loved the freedom of freelancing and finding work that worked around my schedule. This way if I did get a last minute shoot or casting I can just run out an do what I got to do.

Press, Social Media & PR

How cool is it that all you have to do is post something on social media and instantly the whole world knows about it! Recently I did my first FaceBook live post. I had over 700 views with in a day of airing the video. Granted that I had a great subject since I was demonstrating toy for Hasbro at the International Toy Fair, so people curious to see what I was getting paid to play with all day. But it showed me the power of social media and how necessary it is to stay on top of it.

Boy Have Times Changed

I wanted to share a recent discussion I had with others in my industry about all the changes over the past 10 years.

I Always Dreamed of Being A Singer

Not so sure if those dreams will come true but I'm not going to give up hope just because I had a little set back, well two. I am living with nods. I've had vocal surgery not once, but twice. Polyps keep developing on my vocal cords! I've tried every thing to stop them from coming back or growing. Their persistent little buggers that just latch onto your cords and don't ever let go, not allowing your voice to sing it's full range. It's true I can no longer hit above a hight C. After my first surgery and lots of rest/voice therapy I was able to sing any song I wanted.

Women on the Move

Fall is always the busiest time of year but this year has been by far the busiest! One of my main goals was to become a series regular in a TV show. It's like an actors 9-5. After years of hard work, my dreams have finally come true in a big way. Not only did I land the role of Kathy on Poyzen's hottest show the Fever, I also got the starring role as Plum in a brand new original Vimeo series called The Grass is Always Greener. Look out for them both this month. They'll be airing around the same time.

Spring is finally acting like Spring

Feels so nice to shed some articles of clothing and show off some skin again! I'm excited to start my new diet plans with my friend Stacy at Pink Pineapple Fitness, and begin my new work out programs at the new Retro Fitness my friend Ben runs that just opened up in the Financial District in NYC. Have it all in place ready to rock! Been quite on the roll lately. Just like spring I am acting again too. First Jimmy Fallon's new show Lip Sync Battle aired lived on Spike. Had a couple cute scenes with him on there.

Where ever the wind blows

I have always been one for an adventure. Recently I needed to get out of the cold winds and follow it somewhere warm. Booked a trip to recharge down in the Bahamas and found out when I got down to the cruise that it was going to Mexico! My attitude, hey as long as I am on a boat taking me away from the craziness of NY for a bit I don't mind! Was an amazing trip needless to say. And now I am back and ready to rock it out! Finalizing the pilot to Rock the House, and Club Culture 360. Can't wait to show the world all the hard work I have been putting in behind the scenes.

Summer Loven

Ok I know it's been a while since I informed my fans of what I have been up to, but can you blame me with all this work and excitement I have had going on all around me. For example I was modeling Levis Jeans, and NY Transit Shoes at the same time, while running to castings on breaks for other fit modeling jobs for new designers. I'm currently Hosting two new TV pilots back to back, one called Club Culture 360, and the other the Business of Rock. Where I interview live talent and show you the behind the scenes of the entertainment industry link.
